Over the past few years,the Balin Stewart Foundation has proudly hosted a variety of successful events, each dedicated to supporting our mission and engaging the community. From memorable charity golf days and vibrant music festivals to community walks, we’ve consistently brought people together for a good cause. Highlights include our annual Balin Forever Festival, which not only entertains but also raises awareness about important social issues around knife crime, and our charity auctions that have attracted generous donations and bidders alike. Each event has provided an opportunity to honor the loss of Balin, educate the community, and generate vital funds to support our initiatives. These gatherings have become more than just events—they’re a celebration of community spirit, resilience, and the power of coming together for positive change and education around knife crime.
The Balin Forever Festival
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Annual 2024 Balin Forever Festival at The Station in Birtinya, headlined by the incredible POTBELLEEZ!
This year’s lineup was truly unforgettable, with the iconic dance group THE POTBELLEEZ leading the charge, alongside Brisbane’s Triple J Unearthed winners Dizzy Days, local Unearthed band The Nouveau, local artist Em Davis, and producer Muzza! The festivities kicked off at 5 PM, and the community enjoyed an evening filled with amazing music and positive vibes. It was a beautiful way to honor Balin’s memory while raising awareness about the dangers of knife crime.

The Balin Stewart Golf Day
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for the inaugural Balin Stewart Charity Golf Day at Twin Waters Golf Club.
The day kicked off bright and early at 8 AM, with many enthusiastic golfers arriving—some sporting impressively coordinated outfits—ready for a day filled with fun and friendly competition.
We wrapped up the event with a lovely lunch and the draw for our major raffle prize, a 5-seater spa generously donated by Beta Wellness and Oasis Spas.
We’re excited to make this an annual tradition, so stay tuned for details on the 2025 Charity Golf Day! Thank you to all who attended to make the day a huge success.
2024 Annual Walk for Balin
On January 20th, 2024, we proudly commemorated the second anniversary of Balin’s passing with a heartfelt march from Kawana Surf Club to La Balsa Park and back, in his honor.
It’s always incredibly moving to see such a large community turnout, as we gathered in our white shirts to remember Balin’s kind spirit and the life we lost that day.
Our annual Walk for Balin has become a meaningful event, bringing together the community with music, fresh air, raffles, and the support of police, politicians, family, and friends. Raising awareness about knife crime among youth and promoting education remain central to this day’s purpose.
